My name is Jamie and this is my blog! I’m just a wife, a mom and a follower of Jesus, who is learning how to live on this side of Heaven with a piece of my heart missing. Although my family and my world may feel incomplete - for now - hope and beauty can still be found. This is the space and the road I walk between here and Heaven.
I am a Colorado native and have been married to my wonderful husband Andy since 2009. Together we have two living children - Sullivan and Emersyn - and two children waiting for us in Heaven. Our first born son - Logan who was born in 2012 and another little one lost far too soon in 2018. The best gift I have ever been given is being a mom. It is the most beautifully challenging thing I have ever done, but also the most rewarding.
I am the Executive Director and CoFounder of a Colorado-based nonprofit called Walk With Me. Our heart is helping CO families through the death of a baby in utero or shortly after birth. My sister Kelley and I started WWM in 2015, in order to help families better navigate the path of grief and sorrow. My heart is with the broken ... to help them grieve and heal as graciously as possible ... to let them know they are not alone … and to remind them hope is not forever lost. WWM is certainly not a ministry I would have ever dreamed to be a part of prior to Logan’s death - but nonetheless - something that without a doubt I now feel called to do.
Since losing Logan, writing has become my outlet. It’s how I process my grief and honor the two children I now have waiting for me on the other side of Heaven.
